Babylon Beautification Society to Unveil Plaque Honoring 50th Annual Fair

Community Event Set for August 22 at Village Gazebo

Babylon, NY, July 22, 2025 — The Babylon Beautification Society will host a special community gathering on Friday, August 22, 2025, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Village Gazebo to commemorate a remarkable milestone: the 50th Annual Fair, which took place in September 2024.

This celebratory event will feature the official unveiling of a permanent bronze plaque honoring five decades of community spirit, creativity, and volunteerism in Babylon Village. The plaque will be installed at the gazebo, a central symbol of the Fair’s legacy and community life in Babylon Village.

Attendees will enjoy complimentary refreshments, including hot dogs, pretzels, and cookies.

Mayor Mary E. Adams shared her thoughts on the occasion, “The 50th Fair was a historic moment for our village, and this plaque is a lasting tribute to the countless residents and volunteers whose dedication has shaped our village into the vibrant community we cherish today.”

“The 50th Fair was more than a milestone—it was a reflection of all that makes the Village of Babylon special,” added Frank Petruzzo, President of the Babylon Beautification Society. “This plaque is our way of recognizing the many volunteers, artisans, local leaders, and residents who have helped make the fair a beloved tradition for half a century.”

This event is free and open to the public and will take place prior to the Summer Concert Series at the Village Gazebo, which starts at 8:00 PM. All are welcome to attend and celebrate this important moment in our history.
